Volunteer Descriptions
Co-Coach
Organize and co-lead assigned team for the
fall (8 weeks) and spring (7 weeks) soccer sessions.
Hold one practice for 1-1 ½ hours (coach’s preference) each
week and have one 1-hour game per week during each soccer session.
U-8 Co-Ed and U-10 Co-Ed have games only at QQO Sports
Complex. All Girls-Only
teams, U-12 Co-Ed, and U-14 Co-Ed have games within Sheboygan
County. Coaches should
attend the fall and spring coaches meetings to receive coaching
information, team rosters, schedules, and to sign up for practice
times.
Field Marshall
Be at QQO Complex
for your 1-1½ hour shift on your assigned Saturday during the fall
or spring games. Answer
questions, help visiting teams find their fields, direct traffic &
parking, and provide direction in case of an emergency.
Field Marshalls should sign in and out at the QQO concession
stand prior to the shift.
2009 Indoor Soccer
Coordinators
Games run on
Sunday afternoons for 6 weeks starting in February.
Registration begins in January.
All coordinators work together to contact schools for gym
time, send out registration forms to schools, assign coaches and
teams, create game schedules and communicate information to coaches,
players and families.
2009 U-6 Spring
Soccer Coordinator
Work with
Registrar and Secretary as needed to set up the U-6 spring program.
The Co-Coordinator time commitment is approximately February
– March: Send out registrations to area schools, assign coaches and
players to teams, and create game schedules.
It is advised that you are available on Saturdays during the
game. Do you have a 4K
or 5K student? – You’ll be there anyway!
2009-2010
Recreational Soccer Registration
Assist families at
annual soccer registration with registration forms.
Although, exact dates and time may be adjusted, registration
will be in June at QQO Sports Complex during the last games of the
season. Registration
shifts may be 1 to 2 hours long.
This is limited to the first 15 people.
2009 Spring
Optimist Tournament
Work with Optimist club on Tournament
organization. Scheduler
sets the concession stand volunteer schedule.
Workers take a 1-2 hour shift manning the concession stand
during the weekend tournament.
Field Maintenance
Stain benches, fix
goals, line fields, and other to do’s to prep fields for practice
and games in fall and spring.
Duties vary depending on needs.
Referee
This is a Paid Position.

Board of Directors:
You will be contacted with
more details.
Director positions are 2 year terms and
members are welcome to extend their service for additional terms.
Board Members are expected to attend meetings, as necessary,
depending on the position (meetings are held about 6-8 times per
year)
Registrar – Handle items related to in-person and on-line
registration. Work with
VP and secretary to create teams, assign coaches and organize game
schedules. Provide
appropriate information to volunteer coordinator to create volunteer
schedule. Work with
webmaster to collect on-line registration information.
Work with treasurer to collect player and fee information.
Attend Board of Director meetings.
Work with Select Coordinator, Indoor Soccer Coordinator and
U-6 Coordinator as needed.
This is a 2 year commitment.
Secretary/Treasurer – As Secretary, record and distribute all
meeting minutes. Handle
all correspondence related to PYSA.
Maintain PYSA paperwork.
Work with Treasurer to understand financial obligations.
Work with all board members as needed.
After 1 year as Secretary, take on the Treasurer role for 1
year. As Treasurer,
handle all deposits and expense payments.
Provide monthly reports to Board of Director.
Train the secretary to take over the following year.
VP/President – As Vice-President, work with Registrar, Secretary and
Treasurer on registration and team formation.
Handle assignment and coordination of all coaches.
Plan and execute the coaches meetings each fall and spring.
After 1 year as Vice-President, take on the President role
for 1 year. As
President, oversee the PYSA organization.
Work with other board members, as needed, to gain
sponsorships. Train VP
to take over the following year.
